A heart rate monitor, blood pressure app and health journal in one
Most apps do one thing. Pulse Tracker measures what your camera can see and tracks what it can't, so your whole heart picture lives together.
Heart rate monitor
Place a finger on the camera and watch your pulse wave draw itself live. Get BPM, respiratory rate and a rhythm label (slow, normal or fast rate ranges, not a diagnosis).
Learn more →Blood pressure tracker
Log cuff readings in two taps or get a clearly labeled estimate from your pulse wave. See your stage, trends by week and month, and reminders.
Learn more →HRV & recovery
Heart rate variability (RMSSD, SDNN, pNN50) compared with your own baseline and the typical range for your age.
Learn more →Stress & energy levels
A stress and energy reading from every measurement, plus a daily heart score so you know whether to push or rest.
Learn more →Blood oxygen log
Record SpO2 readings from your pulse oximeter and keep them alongside your heart data.
Learn more →AI health assistant
Ask “is my resting heart rate normal?” and get an answer that uses your actual numbers, 24/7.

A blood pressure journal your doctor will actually want to see
Type the numbers from your cuff and Pulse Tracker classifies the reading on the spot, charts your trend by week and month, reminds you to measure at the same time each day, and syncs with Apple Health. After a cuff calibration it can also show an estimated reading from your pulse wave, clearly labeled, so you notice changes between cuff readings.

Frequently asked questions
Is Pulse Tracker a free heart rate monitor app?
Yes. Pulse Tracker is free to download and you can measure your heart rate with the camera at no cost. An optional Premium subscription unlocks HRV, stress and energy analysis, unlimited history, blood pressure insights and the AI health assistant. You can try Premium free for 3 days and cancel any time in your Apple ID settings.
How does the iPhone camera measure heart rate?
The app uses photoplethysmography (PPG), the same optical principle used by pulse oximeters and smartwatches. You cover the rear camera and flash with your fingertip. Each heartbeat changes the amount of light passing through your skin, and the app turns those tiny brightness changes into a pulse wave, then counts the beats per minute.
Can an app really measure blood pressure?
No phone app can measure blood pressure the way a cuff does, and we are upfront about that. Pulse Tracker lets you log readings from your home blood pressure monitor, classifies them against standard categories, charts your trends and reminds you to measure. After calibrating with a cuff, the app can also show an estimate derived from your pulse wave, clearly labeled as an estimate. For any medical decision, use a validated cuff.
Do I need an Apple Watch or any wearable?
No. Everything in the app works with the iPhone alone. If you do own an Apple Watch, you can sync your measurements with Apple Health so everything lives in one place.
Is my health data private?
Your measurements are stored on your device. If you turn on Apple Health sync, data moves through Apple's encrypted HealthKit framework. We do not sell health data. See the privacy policy for details.
Which iPhones are supported?
Any iPhone running iOS 17 or later. The app also runs on iPad and Apple Vision Pro. It is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Swedish.
